The Things I Hear When I'm Reffing

I enjoy reffing during club tournaments. I always want to do a good job because I want others to do a good job when my team is playing. But the thing I like most about it is listening to other coaches. Unfortunately there are too many time when I am thinking to myself these types of things:
"Why on earth would you say something like that to your player?"
"Do you really think that is an effective way to communicate?"
"Why would you think that pouting on the bench is going to motivate your team?"
"Why are you asking your girls dumb questions?"
"Do you really think that is productive and helpful?"
I do enjoy good coaches as well and learning from them. But unfortunately I don't hear as much positive as I would like. Sometimes I want to take most of these coaches by the shoulders and shake them and ask what they are doing?
It is always humbling, of course, when I hear myself say things (hopefully rarely) that I hear other coaches say. I remind myself that I want to be productive and positive in my comments. My negativity isn't going to help the girls. And if I truly want to be a coach for God's glory, then everything that comes out of my mouth should reflect that goal.
