God is faithful!

Hi. I'm Laura, and I'm a control freak.

I often think that I need to be able to anticipate anything that might go wrong. And then if something doesn't go right I wonder what I should have done to prevent it. It is a vicious cycle of insanity.

God has been teaching me so much in the last couple of years about what it really means to have His grace present in my daily life. Grace isn't just for salvation but for every day. Maybe you learned this lesson a long time ago in your walk of faith. This is my lesson now.

I have watched God:

Give me the STRENGTH I needed when I needed it - not before.

Isaiah 40:31 " but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.

Give me the WISDOM I needed when I needed it - not before.

Proverbs 3:5-6 "Trust in the Lord with all your heart,

and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.

Give me the PEACE I needed when I needed it - not before.

Philippians 4:6-7 "do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

Give me the REST I needed when I needed it - not before.

Matthew 11:28-30 "Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

Less anxiety, more trust. It is a daily surrender but it is so worth it.
