We just finished our club season.
No more thinking about what to work on at the next practice.
No more chatting at the beginning of practice to see how each girls' day was.
No more trying to figure out how to get that one girl to do that one thing we've been trying to get her to do all year.
No more laughter about some of our favorite memories.
No more exhaustion at the end of a tournament.
No more girls coming up to me saying "Coach Laura, guess what?"
No more wondering if this might be the tournament a parent starts questioning what we are doing.
No more girls laughing at me when I spilled water on my pants.
No more underlying anxiety just because I'm in season and the team is always in the back of my mind.
No more YES!!!!!! moments with these girls when they finally get something.
I love being a part of a girls' volleyball journey. I know they will not learn everything they possibly can while they are with me. I know I won't be a part of every aspect of their career. But I cherish the moments I did have with them.
